Oh, the Thais do, including every other night of the week.
I heard there was a good nightlife scene before coming to Thailand – definitely a plus for a 24 yr. old – but geez, I feel like I’m in Vegas half the time!
Few facts about me:
- I just moved to Chiang Mai from New York, the City that Never Sleeps.
- I’m an Asian born and raised in the East Bay.
- I’m in my 20’s.
- I run.
Conclusion: I should be able to keep up with the party scene here, no problem.
Reality: No way in hell can I stay out until 5am (btw, drinking at the bar starts at 9 or 10pm), go home, watch a movie, sleep, then do it all over again the next night, even if it is the weekend. I also refuse to drink until 3am on a Tuesday night then get up for work at 7:30am. Thought I could do it, but realized I am old.
